Miguel Purgatorio, MA, CHI™-Spanish | Licensed Community Interpreter Trainer
Miguel Purgatorio, is the founder and owner of MP Language Services, LLC. With a career spanning over two decades in the language industry, Miguel brings extensive expertise as an interpreter and translator.
Since 1998, Miguel has worked as an interpreter for English, Spanish, and Portuguese, primarily with tourism agencies in Venezuela. Since 2008, he has focused on English < > Spanish interpretation in community settings within the United States. His translation work has encompassed the medical and pharmaceutical fields, as well as commercial material and legal documents from English and Portuguese into Spanish. Miguel holds a master's degree in translation from Kent State University and is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI™-Spanish). He is an active member of the American Translators Association (ATA), the New England Translators Association (NETA), and the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA). In addition to his language services, Miguel contributes to academia as an adjunct professor of Spanish at Western Connecticut State University. With his extensive experience and commitment to excellence, Miguel is dedicated to providing top-quality language services that facilitate effective communication across diverse industries and settings.
